  • Ph.D. in Physics (materials science) with specialization on thin films from IIT, Delhi, India.
  • M.Sc. in Physics from C.S.J.M. University Kanpur, India.

  • Postdoc 2: June 2017-june 2018 at NUS Singapore with Prof Aaron Danner

Research Area:

My research focuses on developing new science and technologies in the area

    • Ultrathin/thin films (by plasma processes),
    • 2D materials like graphene, MXene, MoS2, WS2, hBN, etc,
    • Shape memory polymer composites and other polymer/waste composites for advancing practical applications in subject of energy, environment, protection and smart systems. In my lab, the aforementioned materials are developed and investigated for the following research: tribology, corrosion protection, heavy metal sensor development, batteries, motion/strain sensors, sensors based on smart materials, smart systems, radiation shielding systems, electrical and thermal systems.
Awards/Recognition:

  • Top 2% scientist in the world, as per Stanford University report.
  • Sodha award for best thesis in 2013-2014 by IIT Delhi.
  • Editors of Scientific Reports and Frontiers in Mechanical Energy journals
